When we join the Galactic Federation (as foretold by the sci-fi novel "Master Builders") we will confirm that more advanced civilisations exist. They can travel the vast reaches of our galaxy with ease and quickly too. After all, they have been visiting us for years, the evidence is here on Earth.
They can travel between dimensions using the advanced technology at their disposal. We can hope that they will teach us how to do that too. That should allow us to hopefully use their technology for our growth instead of our destruction.
There are also other technologies that we could benefit from learning about, especially the technologies related to medicine and healing.
I am the "amateur medic" in the family. I visit a pharmacy on a monthly schedule to pick up our medicines. The above photograph bears testimony to that. I haven't shown all of the meds that routinely and daily pass our lips.
The meds all have side effects, so one has to take extra meds to combat the side effects. The latter meds also have side effects and so on. I call the process "musical meds".
Imagine advanced technologies that would reduce or remove the need for us to swallow lots of pills. Imagine a hospital where advanced instruments can remove the need to cut into patients to heal the consequences of accidents or illness.
We should not be scared of meeting with advanced civilisations. The advantages are likely to far outweigh any disadvantages that there might be.....
