Could Builder technology save us?

When I was studying in the early seventies, my first computer experience was with an IBM machine that filled a room at university. Punch cards that were the order of the day. Holes in the cards had to be punched one program line at a time, one card to a line. Fortran IV was the language in common use. We learnt that "garbage in equals highly processed garbage out".

When I started working, I witnessed one of the first South African attempts to build a computer. The unit used minute magnetic memory cores. The processor boards were based on resistor-transistor technology and they were a nightmare to work with. The components were sandwiched between two printed circuit boards and difficult to replace. The computer's claim to fame was the elephant hide that covered the front panel of the unit.

A newer model had a bank of multi-coloured switches on the front that could be used to program the computer. This was a tedious job. Each program instruction had to be set up in turn and entered. A so-called boot loader program had to be typed in. The loader allowed the desired program to be run, the program as obtained via a paper tape reader. The paper tape had holes that defined the various computer instructions. Finger trouble and reader problems (such as a break or tear in the paper tape) resulted in a time-consuming process. The tape reader was also slow.

Then we had access to a process control computer that had a fast paper tape reader. The reader spat out the tape at such speed that the tape seemed to defy gravity for a metre or two before the tape started to dip downwards. A "golf ball" version typewriter was used to input computer commands.

Micro controllers started making their appearance. The COSMAC 1802 micro controller used instructions that could take milliseconds to execute. The Intel 8748 controller was a single chip controller that had onboard programmable memory as well as random access memory. The Intel 8086 CPU became available and then its variants such as the 80286 and so on.

Fun was had at home playing games on the Integer Apple computer, it used BASIC as its language. Then there was the Apple II Plus with its separate peripherals such as floppy disks. The IBM home computer made its appearance. Computer hard drives were mechanical devices and were bulky in size. They typically had twenty megabytes of memory and were relatively unreliable, mechanical devices wear out faster than electronics.

These days we are spoiled with fast computers that run at gigahertz speeds and have huge amounts of memory. Quantum computers are making their appearance. There is some evidence to suggest that super conducting materials are being discovered that work at standard room temperature and air pressure, that do not impede the flow of electrical energy. Such a discovery could further speed up computer technology.

Well, the above technological advances have taken place over the last forty years or so. Imagine what could be possible if we look back from a thousand years or more into the future? Always assuming that we get there.

Maybe the Master Builders that appear in the book by Wilbur Schmarr might help us to speed up our progress? That is if they are prepared to help and if we don't try to use their technology in a destructive manner....

Could Master Builders help us to reverse air pollution?

The sci-fi book Master Builders by Wilbur Schmarr refers. It can be found at one of the following locations.

It is a depressing fact that our world is too dependent on the use of fossil fuels. Renewable energy sources are just not catching up fast enough to improve matters. The consequences of our addiction have been illustrated by undeniable facts that have been appearing in the media.

Children in polluted cities saying that they have never seen stars or a blue sky.

Smog so bad that it is next to impossible to read the freeway signs that are trying to inform motorists.

The smoke from huge forest fires is adding to the situation, caused by vegetation that is dried out and flammable in turn due to drought. Conversely there are regular reports of large areas being flooded by torrential rain. In summary we are trying very hard to destroy planet Earth and to make life difficult for ourselves.

On top of the climate change catastrophe, humans with their wars are destroying power generation infrastructure, residential buildings and dams. We just seem to be unable to get on with each other or to learn how to share our planet's resources.

So how could the Master Builders help? There is more than enough evidence here on Earth that they do exist. Since they have been here and are likely still here, they have mastered the technology required to quickly travel between points on opposite sides of our galaxy with relative ease.

It would be kind if they could help humans to design alternate non-polluting methods that would replace the use of fossil fuels. We desperately need more advanced ways of managing the energy resources at our disposal and to also have better ways of generating energy. Advice and support on how to remove the existing contaminants from the atmosphere that we are trying to breathe would be marvellous.

Assuming that they are far advanced relative to our present level of technology, they must have found ways to live together in harmony.

Could they help to divert us from our love of violence madness and our attempts at self-destruction?

Galactic Federation Advantages

When we join the Galactic Federation (as foretold by the sci-fi novel "Master Builders") we will confirm that more advanced civilisations exist. They can travel the vast reaches of our galaxy with ease and quickly too. After all, they have been visiting us for years, the evidence is here on Earth.

They can travel between dimensions using the advanced technology at their disposal. We can hope that they will teach us how to do that too. That should allow us to hopefully use their technology for our growth instead of our destruction.

There are also other technologies that we could benefit from learning about, especially the technologies related to medicine and healing.

I am the "amateur medic" in the family. I visit a pharmacy on a monthly schedule to pick up our medicines. The above photograph bears testimony to that. I haven't shown all of the meds that routinely and daily pass our lips.

The meds all have side effects, so one has to take extra meds to combat the side effects. The latter meds also have side effects and so on. I call the process "musical meds".

Imagine advanced technologies that would reduce or remove the need for us to swallow lots of pills. Imagine a hospital where advanced instruments can remove the need to cut into patients to heal the consequences of accidents or illness.

We should not be scared of meeting with advanced civilisations. The advantages are likely to far outweigh any disadvantages that there might be.....

Publishers Weekly review of the novel Master Builders - April 2023

The following paid review of the sci-fi novel Master Builders by Wilbur Schmarr will feature in the Publishers Weekly Booklife Supplement dated 15 May 2023.

After an occupational accident causes his untimely death, Chris Petersen awakens in a strange colorless place with a new mechanical body. His new mentor, Brian Philby, greets him and explains that Chris has been watched and recorded throughout his human life and has now been vetted to be amongst the newest members of the “junior builders” of the Sentient Species Test and Evaluation Program. Chris must quickly come to terms with his own death, plus the jolting truth that everything he’s ever been taught about, from the Biblical flood to Heaven and Hell to wars on Earth, has been the manipulation of these beings and their galactic council. Brian explains many realities in one of the novel’s many colloquies before Chris and his new team are put to a daunting task: develop the “Test and Evaluation Master Plan” to seed a planet in about five Earth years.

Master Builders is a thoughtful novel with—as the title suggests—inventive world building and imaginative storytelling that dig deep into myth, science, and the origins of creation, exploring the inner workings of human and alien life. At times awkward at the sentence level, Schmarr’s writing mirrors Chris’s experience, as the hero is told all this rather than show, and readers might feel a sense of informational overload. Through training and dream sequences, Chris is introduced to his new life and "calling" as a member of the SSTEP team.

With his new gifts and "upgrades,” he can communicate telepathically with other members of the team and teleport through the team’s wealth of technology, skills he’ll need when, eventually, he must investigate what the ”dark teams” are seeding in the atmosphere of his former home. The story ends with a teaser for more to come, but readers of secret-history SF will enjoy the unusual characters and continual surprises, from the idea of “Spaceship Earth” as a “closed environment” to the truth about seances.

Takeaway:Inventive SF that reimagines the builders who control heaven, Earth, and myth.

Did the Reptilian attack on Earth cause this?

Readers of the sci-fi novel "Master Builders" will know all about the Reptilian spheres that had to be countered when the enemy attacked Earth using pathogens.

It is speculated that the poor tree in the above image was attacked by a pathogen that could not be countered in time by the Master Builders in cooperation with the United Nations.

In comparison here is an image of a tree that is slightly healthier:

Although this tree looks better, it had the same affliction as the sick tree above (but did recover after multiple spraying attempts aimed at eradicating the pathogen).

This tree is still far from well. There is evidence that the attack is recurring in nature, similar to virus attacks against our population that we have seen in recent years.

There is evidence to suggest that the pathogen is "Mealy Bug" in origin. A concoction of Oleum, Neem Oil and a Rosecare insecticide does slow down the attack. In addition there was a second pathogen attacking the trees in parallel that was eradicated successfully, Red Spider Mites.

The conjecture that the Reptilians were to blame is supported by evidence of egg-shaped objects deposited in the tree at some time by means of an airborne delivery mechanism.

Do stay tuned, we will see if additional envisaged treatments will totally eradicate the threat to our trees.....
